The mandatory one-month professional development requirement for teachers will be abolished.

The requirement for educators in Uzbekistan to travel to the capital or regional centers for a mandatory one-month professional development course is being abolished. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this change.
Professional development vouchers will be introduced instead. Depending on their results in qualification category assessments, teachers will be able to undergo training ranging from 18 to 72 hours.
Educators will choose their own training providers and locations. The President noted that this shift aims to transform professional development from a mere formality into a practical necessity.
