PowerPoint software chief Dennis Austin has died at the age of 76. This was reported by The Washington Post. It is noted that the developer died of lung cancer on September 1 at his home in Los Altos, California. PowerPoint was released in 1987. Later, the company was acquired by Microsoft, and Austin continued to develop the program. He retired in 1996. The company claims that PowerPoint is now used to create more than 30 million presentations per day.
