Thus, a group of scientists at the UNESCO World Heritage Site was accompanied by representatives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and delegates from the National Academy of Sciences of the country.
“The guests visited the ancient city of Sarazm, the Olim Dodhokh madrasah, the mausoleum of Muhammad Bashoro in the village of Mazar, as well as the tomb of the founder of Tajik-Persian poetry, Abu Abdullah Rudaki, in the village of Panjrud,” the Penjikent administration stated.
In the village of Panjrud, the guests, who were accompanied by the mayor of the city Abduholik Kholikzoda, were greeted with bread and honey, as well as poems by Rudaki, the press service reports.
In addition, after visiting the tomb of the founder of Tajik-Persian poetry, a poetry and song event was organized for representatives of Iran with the participation of writers, artists and scientists.
After visiting the shrine, a poetry and song evening took place at the bust of Master Rudaki with the participation of writers, artists and scientists.
The delegation expressed satisfaction with the warm welcome and development of cultural cooperation between the two countries with linguistic and cultural similarities.
