The International Finance Corporation has invested the most in Uzbekistan in Central Asia

In the past period of 2023, the volume of funds allocated to the country was $ 1.56 billion.
In the past period of this year, the International Finance Corporation has invested more than $ 1.6 billion in projects in Central Asia. 

By region, the largest portfolio of the International Finance Corporation falls on Uzbekistan - in 2023, $ 1.56 billion was invested. It is the corporation's highest since it began operations in the country in 1993.

Of this, $ 49 million is directed to finance the first Zarafshan wind farm in Uzbekistan, the station is expected to be commissioned in 2025.

In addition, the International Finance Corporation contributed $ 150 million to the construction of IES in the Syrdarya region, helping to attract more than $ 1 billion in private financing.

Earlier it was announced that Uzbekistan will update investment legislation with the International Finance Corporation. It helps to introduce norms that allow the private sector to participate in the organization and activities of Special Economic Zones in the country.
