It was announced that he was awarded for his great contribution to ensuring the stability of the spiritual environment, training of mature specialists who have thoroughly acquired religious and worldly knowledge, and special services in educating the young generation in the spirit of love and loyalty to the motherland, respect for national and universal values. Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf was born on April 15, 1952 in Andijan region. He studied at the Mir Arab madrasa in Bukhara, at the Imam Bukhari Higher Islamic Institute in Tashkent, and at the Faculty of Islamic Da'wah in Tripoli, Libya. By 1989, the ulama, who worked in various positions in the Religious Office of the Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan and the Supreme Institute, was appointed to the position of Mufti of the Religious Office of the Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan. In 1989, when Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf was elected as a deputy to the former Soviet Supreme Council, he presented a statement to the former president of the Union Mikhail Gorbachev and the Supreme Council on ensuring the rights and freedoms of the Muslims of the Union. It is said that after his direct communication with Gorbachev, a positive change in Moscow's policy towards Muslims began to be felt. With the efforts of Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf, many mosques and madrassas were opened in the former union, and Muslims were allowed to perform their religious traditions and rituals. The number of Muslims going on pilgrimage from the former union has increased dramatically. Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf is the first mufti of independent Uzbekistan. He was a member of influential organizations in the Islamic world. The scientist left a great mark in the Islamic world of Central Asia with his scientific and religious activities and dozens of religious and educational books in the Uzbek language. Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf died on March 10, 2015 in Tashkent. He was buried in the Shaykh Zainiddin (Kokcha) cemetery in the city. By the decree of the President, the former chairman of the Central Asia and Kazakhstan Muslims religious administration, mufti, the late Sheikh Ziyovuddin Khan ibn Eshan Babakhan was also awarded with the order of "High-ranking Imam Bukhari".
