The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Gurbanmamet Elyasov discussed with the Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Small and Medium Business in the Republic Orkhan Mammadov the prospects for expanding cooperation between the business circles of the two states, Azertaj reports.

The Azerbaijani agency aims to protect the interests of small and medium-sized businesses, monitor services, create a business environment, finance projects in various fields, including those of a cultural and humanitarian nature.
Economic ties between the countries are mainly based on fuel and energy ties: Turkmenistan supplies oil to the republic through the Caspian Sea, and also, starting from 2021, makes swap gas supplies through Iran.
