The head of the Turkmen representation to the European Union, Ambassador Sapar Palvanov, met with the Secretary General of the European Energy Alliance Adel El Gammal to discuss topical issues in the field of energy, the press service of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Belgium reports.
The parties considered the prospects for cooperation between the alliance and the Turkmen research institute specializing in low-carbon technologies and innovations in the fuel and energy complex.
Also, during the negotiations between the diplomatic representative of Turkmenistan and the Secretary General of the organization, strategies for further partnership were studied that could meet the expectations of the parties in the framework of the implementation of the Paris climate agreement.
The European Energy Alliance is the region's largest non-profit association for low-carbon energy research. The alliance also acts as a key executor of the EU's Strategic Energy Technologies plan, covering about 250 organizations from 30 countries of the world. The main activities of the power pool are low-carbon technologies, innovative materials and systems.
