Two construction workers broke down a part of the ancient wall and created a makeshift road for the excavator to move freely.

According to Shanxi police, workers and equipment were forced to walk around the Great Wall of China to the construction site. And the "Uddaburon" left a piece of the old wall with the ground to make the road closer.

Police have arrested a 38-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman who caused irreparable damage to the Ming Dynasty ancient monument.

The Great Wall of China was built from 220 BC to 1640 AD. In its time, this defense structure, which stretched for almost 22 thousand kilometers, occupies an important place in the history, culture and thought of the Chin country. The Great Wall of China is also mentioned in the national anthem.

The historical object was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987.

The Great Wall of China is under the threat of collapse due to natural factors and destruction by human hands.

In the 1950s and 1960s, a large number of bricks of the monument were arbitrarily demolished and transported for construction purposes.
