The government wants to announce a moratorium on the construction of cement factories.
In his speech at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Aziz Abduhakimov said that some cement factories were built in mountainous areas where ecotourism could be developed, which harms health and nature.

Currently, it is planned to increase the fine from 100-200 million soums set in the legislation to 10 billion soums.

Aziz Abduhakimov added that environmental control over cement production enterprises will be carried out together with the General Prosecutor's Office.
