This non-governmental, non-profit organization, which promotes the French language and culture, was founded in Paris in 1883 by the initiative of famous people of their time, such as Jules Verne and Louis Pasteur. Today, more than 800 branches of the French Alliance operate in 137 countries of the world.
The first branch of the Alliance in our country was opened in 2015 in Tashkent. In order to further expand bilateral exchanges in the field of culture and language, another branch was recently established in the city of Samarkand.
