The former mayor of Urganch, who was imprisoned for three years two months ago, was released

(Born in Khorezm region in 1967, has no previous convictions, served as mayor of Urganch during 2018-2020) Article 209 (falsification of office) of the Criminal Code, part 2, paragraph "a" and Article 229-4 (grant of land violation of order) found guilty of committing the crimes provided for in clauses "a", "b" of part 2, and is deprived of a certain right for 2 years, that is, an official in a state body, an organization with state participation and citizens' self-government bodies and 3 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to work in the positions of the materially responsible person was imposed. The judgment of the first instance court was left unchanged by the decision of the appeal instance of Khorezm regional court on August 4. The Supreme Court's Criminal Trial Panel dismissed the part of this criminal case against Sh.A. as the accused Sh.A.'s lawyers were unjustly tried and acquitted him due to the absence of criminal signs in his actions, as well as Khorezm's appeals considered in the cassation procedure on the basis of the protest brought by the regional prosecutor about the imposition of a punishment not related to deprivation of liberty, taking into account his confession of guilt, remorse for his actions, lack of previous convictions and payment of material damages. According to the decision of the cassation instance of the Supreme Court on August 29, the above court decisions were changed and the convicted Sh.A. taking into account his confession of guilt, remorse for his actions, lack of previous convictions and voluntary full compensation of the material damage caused in the case, he was sentenced to a fine of 500 times the amount of the base calculation. Thus, the protest was completely satisfied, and the complaints were partially satisfied. Sh.A. released from prison at the place of execution of the sentence.
