The form of distance education will be introduced in 14 HEIs in Uzbekistan

In 2023, distance education will be introduced in 14 higher educational institutions in Uzbekistan.

At the briefing held at AOKA, the head of the Agency for Knowledge and Skills Assessment Abduvahob Hayitov gave information about the results of the online registration of applicants. A total of 1,018,007 applicants were registered for 89 state higher education institutions and 29 regional branches and faculties of the republic. 948,486 of them will participate in the test.

In addition, distance education was introduced in 14 higher education institutions, and 6,834 applicants (compared to the first field of study) expressed their desire to study in distance education. Also, 545,616 applicants registered for full-time, 22,867 for evening, and 373,169 for part-time education.

Higher education institutions with the largest number of applicants (in relation to the first field of study):

to the National University of Uzbekistan - 33,721 people;
Tashkent State Transport University - 28,474;
Fergana State University - 28,188 people.
Regions with the largest number of applicants (by region of permanent residence):

Kashkadarya region - 112,242 people;
Samarkand region - 105,805 people;
Fergana region - 89,022 people.
About 3,500 candidates from the general public will be recruited as group invigilators to ensure that the entrance tests are conducted in an open and transparent manner. In addition, a contract was signed with 127 sign language interpreters in order to provide sign language interpreter services to applicants with hearing and speech impairments.
