During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of the Tajik-Turkmen strategic partnership and the upcoming meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia

In Dushanbe, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov.

This was reported by the press service of the Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is noted that the negotiations took place in a traditional friendly atmosphere, during which the parties touched upon current issues of the Tajik-Turkmen strategic partnership.

In addition, the ministers paid special attention to the progress of preparations for the fifth consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and the next meeting of the founders of the International Forum for Saving the Aral Sea.

Let us remind you that the fifth consultative meeting of the presidents of Central Asian countries will be held on September 14-15 in Dushanbe. The summit will be chaired by the head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Also on these days, it is planned to hold a meeting of the IFAS Council, established in 1993 to overcome the environmental crisis and improve the socio-economic situation in the dry Aral Sea basin.
