The eternal debate: Is Ibn Sina an Uzbek or a Tajik? 🤔

The Minister of Culture of Tajikistan, Matlubakhon Sattoriyon, was dissatisfied with the fact that the American CNN channel referred to him as an Uzbek scientist in an article about Ibn Sina, saying that this was a misinterpretation, and emphasized that Abu Ali ibn Sina is a great scientist and cultural figure, whose legacy is of international importance and, of course, belongs not to one nation, but to all of humanity.
UzJOKU Rector Sherzodkhon Kudratkhodja, reacting to this situation, said that in the 9th-10th centuries there was no description of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan in the region.
“And, of course, a third party uses such cases for its own malicious purposes. "Today, as we live in a large region, we should be worthy children of our ancestors who lived on the same land as our great scientists who reached the heights in the fields of science, literature, and enlightenment," added Sherzodkhon Qudratkhoj.
