The epidemiological situation regarding plague in Uzbekistan is stable. This was announced by Nurmat Otabekov, First Deputy Chairman of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Committee.
According to him, necessary measures have been taken to prevent the entry and spread of highly dangerous infectious diseases in the country. Specifically, 53 sanitary control points are operating at international airports, railway stations, and along highways; individuals entering the country through these points undergo medical screening.
Additionally, regional laboratories have been equipped with the necessary tools to detect dangerous infections such as plague.
Nurmat Otabekov emphasized that there is no cause for public concern and that the situation remains stable.
