The embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia has suspended the acceptance of applications for citizenship. This is due to the fact that from October 26, a new law “on citizenship of the Russian Federation”entered into force.

” The acceptance of applications for civil matters (with the exception of requests for the presence/absence of citizenship) will be suspended until the adoption of the regulation on the procedure for considering civil matters, " the message says.

Earlier, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrikin proposed to deprive migrants with Russian citizenship of citizenship if they refuse to participate in hostilities in Ukraine.
