The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Tajikistan urged not to believe fakes

The Russian diplomatic mission in Tajikistan commented on the fake stories that appeared in a number of Internet portals

Russia in relations with Tajikistan is committed to the spirit of partnership and non-interference in internal affairs.

This was stated by the press service of the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe.

The diplomatic department noted that a wave of anti-Russian fake stories aimed at discrediting the established, constructive ties between the Russian Federation and its allies and like-minded people has reached Central Asia.

Earlier, on one of the Internet portals of the republic, allegations were published that Moscow was allegedly considering candidates for the post of president of Tajikistan.

"Such narratives are happily picked up and replicated by certain unscrupulous media resources, most often on the payroll of Washington and other unfriendly Western countries," the embassy said.

The Russian representation also expressed the hope that such publications in the media would cause "only an ironic smile" in Tajikistan.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the centuries-old friendship of the fraternal peoples has become a guarantee of deepening and expanding the mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.
