Analysts of the Eurasian Development Bank recorded in Tajikistan not only an economic recovery, but also a slowdown in production

The economy of Tajikistan is growing at a high rate.

This was reported by the Eurasian Development Bank.

It is noted that along with the rise in the economic sphere, a slowdown in production was recorded.

Thus, the EDB emphasizes that the republic maintains strong dynamics of domestic demand.

“Based on the results of the last month of summer, retail sales in Tajikistan increased by 15.5%, and investments by 14.8%,” the bank stated.

However, growth rates in industry and agriculture slowed to 3.8% in August.

EDB: demand dynamics in Tajikistan’s economy remain strong

Earlier, the Eurasian Development Bank stated that inflation in Tajikistan almost doubled in August. Its figure exceeded the July figure of 2.3% in annual terms.

It is noted that the growth is associated, among other things, with the acceleration of inflation in Russia. In addition, the indicator is affected by the strong dynamics of domestic demand, as well as an increase in world energy prices.
