The DPRK demanded rice from Russia in exchange for military personnel

The financial and food crisis in North Korea is largely covered by the agreement with Russia. In exchange for the military, the DPRK demanded from Russia 600-700 thousand tons of rice, space technology and 2 thousand dollars for soldiers. Arms trade with Russia helps reduce food shortages in North Korea. Also, an important part of the agreement between North Korea and Russia is that Russia promised to fight on its side in the event of a conflict with the DPRK and neighboring countries.

According to South Korea's National Intelligence Service, each North Korean soldier is paid about $2,000 a month for his participation in the war against Ukraine.
