According to the country's weather forecasters, until May 29, 2023, in the mountainous and foothill regions of republican subordination of the republic (with the exception of the eastern regions of GBAO), there remains a high risk of local mudflows, landslides and rockfalls.

Precipitation can cause sharp rises in the water level in the upper reaches of mountain rivers and small watercourses. Rain and river runoff may flood lowlands, farmland, wash away road sections, and there is also a threat to safety on low-water bridges

In this regard, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan urges citizens to observe personal safety measures, refrain from hiking, hunting, grazing, picking mushrooms and other crops growing in mountainous areas. Pay special attention to children, do not leave them unattended.

The Committee does not recommend citizens these days to be near water bodies, to fish.

In order to prevent flooding of streets and houses, the CoES also asks the population to clean all ditches and ditches, mudflows passing near their houses.
