The Customs Clearance Center was launched in Tashkent

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is getting acquainted with the creative works in Tashkent.
The decree of the head of state dated April 27, 2022 on the further improvement of the customs administration defines measures for the digital transformation of the sector, the improvement of the quality and speed of services. For this purpose, the Customs Clearance Center was established at the State Customs Committee.

The President visited this complex. The Data Processing Center, Remote Electronic Declaration Post, Call Center, Targeting and Risk Management Departments are established here. The information system is integrated with the information of foreign countries, ministries and agencies of our country, representatives of foreign economic activities, and airlines. Businessmen's proposals were also taken into account when organizing the work.

The data processing center is equipped with modern servers, computers and other necessary equipment, which are ten times larger than the current reserve. This ensures a 5-fold increase in the speed of communication channels and a 2-fold reduction in the clearance time. The entire system is protected from cyber attacks.

At the remote electronic declaration post, at the initial stage, the customs cargo declarations sent remotely by the businessmen of the city of Tashkent were quickly processed. Later, it is planned to cover all formalization processes in the republic.

The "Call-center" responds to the appeals received through the 11-08 hotline of the customs authorities and the website of the committee.

The Department of Targeting and Risk Management was opened in cooperation with the World Customs Organization based on the experience of developed countries. Here, operational structures analyze the data of 50 customs offices, 3 information programs of the World Customs Organization, more than 30 offices and foreign customs offices, assess risks, and remotely control the activities of all customs posts.

The Central Customs Laboratory was equipped with advanced equipment aimed at shortening examination processes and increasing accuracy.

- These conditions and results will definitely make a person happy. But digitization is a process that is not limited to one place. There is more work to be done than there is work to be done in the field. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly increase the amenities. Entrepreneurs should evaluate the system's activity, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Based on the analysis of the import composition, instructions were given to local entrepreneurs on the expansion of processing in the customs territory. The task was set to improve the material and social conditions of the employees and turn the system into a corruption-free sector.
