The court sentence was read to a young man from Namangan who was a member of a terrorist organization in Syria ​

It was reported that on September 21, at the Yunusabad district court on criminal cases, Article 155-2 of the Criminal Code (Passing training, leaving or moving for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities) Parts 1 and 2, 244- Article 1 (Preparation, storage, distribution or display of materials that threaten public safety and public order) Part 3, Clause "g" and Article 244-2 (Establishment, leadership of religious extremist, separatist, fundamentalist or other prohibited organizations , participation in them) a criminal case against a citizen charged with part 1 was considered. According to court documents, a citizen born in Namangan region in 1987 went to Istanbul, Turkey on September 6, 2016 at the invitation of a close friend. A year later, he moved from Istanbul to Syria and joined the international terrorist organization "Hay'at Tahrir Sham". There, he trained as a fighter in a terrorist training camp until December 2017. In September 2018, he returned to Turkey to expand the ranks of the terrorist organization, and by December 2022, he hired a group of people and arranged to send them to Syria. According to the above-mentioned articles of the Criminal Code, the defendant was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment.
