Currently, three countries are considering the issue of who and how to finance the project, the primary technical and economic basis of which is ready. The Trans-Afghan railway project is still at the stage of developing the initial technical assignment. On September 13, an international conference entitled "International road transport: towards sustainable development and prosperity" was held in Tashkent. Representatives of 11 international organizations and 93 delegations from 29 countries took part in it. Problems arising in international cargo transportation, logistics issues were discussed there. Within the framework of the event, Abdusamad Mominov, the head of the department of the Ministry of Transport, said in response to the journalists' question, that currently efforts are underway to find money for the implementation of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway project. "Today, we have 6-7 routes for the development of foreign trade, export and import goods of Uzbekistan to the outside world. In addition, as an alternative option, we are using the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan multimodal corridor. Agreements were reached during the president's visit to Xi'an in May. Then the preliminary technical and economic basis for the construction of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway was prepared. Fundraising for this project is currently underway. Also, the terms of managing this project are being agreed," Abdusamad Mominov said.
