The Information and Communications Department of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reports that on September 15, 2023, a congestion of cargo vehicles was recorded at the checkpoints “Ak-Tilek-avtodorozhny” (Kyrgyzstan) and “Karasuu-avtodorozhny” (Kazakhstan).
As of 16:00, there are 140 cars in line in front of the Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhny checkpoint to leave Kyrgyzstan.
From Kazakhstan, 40 cars are waiting in line to enter Kyrgyzstan.
The reason for the accumulation of trucks on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border is the increase in cargo traffic characteristic of the autumn season, especially agricultural products exported from Kyrgyzstan to other countries.
As the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan notes, the accumulation of vehicles is cyclical.
It should be noted that there are no restrictions on either the Kyrgyz or Kazakh sides.
The checkpoints of the two countries are operating as usual.
