⚽️💰 The ball used for Maradona’s “Hand of God” goal sold for $3.35 million
The ball used in the quarter-final between Argentina and England at the 1986 FIFA World Cup has been sold for $3.35 million.
It was the same ball with which Diego Maradona scored one of the most famous goals in football history — the “Hand of God.” Argentina won the match 2–1, with Maradona scoring both goals.
His second goal was later named the “Goal of the Century.”
Interestingly, referee Ali Bin Nasser kept the ball after the match and sold it for $2.37 million in 2022.
