The average monthly salary of teachers in Uzbekistan has increased by 2.5 times

Under the chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a meeting of video selectors has begun regarding the priority tasks of further improving the quality of education in schools, increasing the number of students, improving the qualifications of teachers and creating suitable conditions for them. At the meeting, special attention was paid to improving the conditions for teachers and students, increasing the quality of education, in particular, the monthly salary of teachers increased by an average of 2.5 times in the past period (an average of 3 million sous per month m) said. As a result, the number of teachers receiving salaries from 6 million to 10 million soums has reached 23,000, and the number of salary earners above 10,000,000 soums has exceeded 1,000. About 2,000 teachers are being paid additional allowances from the Minister's Fund. In order to reduce the workload of schools, 700,000 student places were created. This is 15 times more than in previous years.
