In Uzbekistan, the average nominal wage rose by 18.4 percent to reach 7.1 million soums during the period of January–June 2026, while real wages grew by 10.9 percent. The Central Bank reported these figures.
By region, the highest real wage growth was recorded in Jizzakh (13.3 percent), Namangan (11.8 percent), and Tashkent city (10.7 percent). The lowest growth rates were observed in Andijan (7.9 percent) and Karakalpakstan (8.6 percent).
By sector, the highest average wages were found in finance and insurance (19.1 million soums) and information and communication services (17.4 million soums).
The lowest average wages were recorded in agriculture (3.5 million soums) and social services (4.7 million soums).
The highest wage growth rates were observed in transportation and storage (22.8 percent), social services (20.2 percent), and construction (19.9 percent).
