For 6 months of 2023, 44 cases of nepotism were registered in Tajikistan.
This was announced during a press conference by representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic.
It is noted that the organization singled out 2 ministries with the largest number of registered cases of such an offense.
According to the anti-corruption agency, 16 cases of nepotism were registered with the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan.
The Ministry of Education of the Republic, in turn, revealed 15 cases of nepotism.
"Most of those who hired relatives were dismissed from their positions," the country's Anti-Corruption Agency stressed.
In addition, 6 crimes of this nature were recorded in other state authorities, and in the housing and communal services, the Ministry of Transport, Agriculture, the Land Committee and the Archive - 1 case each.
Tajikistan and Belarus agreed to cooperate against corruption
Recall that in Tajikistan, according to the law of the republic, relatives are prohibited from working in the same department, ministry, state authority.
