Thailand to tighten security after murder of Russian siblings

The suspects in the murder of 22-year-old Diana Nazimova and her 17-year-old brother Roman Nazimov, who had gone missing in Pattaya, Thailand, have admitted the motive behind the crime. According to local media, they confessed that they killed the siblings in order to steal their motorcycle.

Authorities said the siblings left home on their motorcycle on the morning of July 26. About 20 minutes later, their mother received a single message from Diana that read, "Urgent!" After that, all contact with them was lost. During the investigation, police reviewed surveillance footage, and the siblings' motorcycle was later found buried in a wooded area.

Following the tragedy, the Thai government announced plans to strengthen tourist safety measures across the country. The Prime Minister instructed police to swiftly bring those responsible to justice and take all necessary steps to prevent similar crimes in the future.
