Tennis ball-sized hailstorm hits Islamabad

A hailstorm accompanied by strong winds hit the Pakistani capital Islamabad. The storm damaged dozens of cars, uprooted trees, damaged solar panels, and covered streets and roofs with ice. Some of the hailstones were as big as tennis balls.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that similar weather conditions could occur again in the coming days. Experts are linking the phenomenon to climate change.
