Technical college employee in Surkhandarya fired for harassing a student.

A vocational training instructor in the Jarqo‘rg‘on district of the Surxondaryo region has been dismissed for harassing a minor student. The Agency for Vocational Education announced this information.

Following an internal investigation, the technical college’s deputy director for youth affairs and the psychologist were also relieved of their duties. Three other employees received reprimands.

Earlier, a court had sentenced the employee to five days of administrative detention for inappropriate conduct toward the student.

The Agency stated that oversight regarding the protection of students' rights and safety, as well as the prevention of such incidents, would be strengthened in educational institutions.
