Teachers who subject students to violence may now face fines of up to 2.2 million soums and even dismissal.

Administrative liability has been introduced in Uzbekistan for educators who subject children to physical or psychological violence during the educational and upbringing process. The relevant law was signed by the President on September 11.
Now, actions such as beating, humiliating, or degrading a child will incur a fine ranging from one to five times the Base Calculation Amount (BCA)—specifically, between 440,000 and 2.2 million soums.
Furthermore, any individual held administratively liable for such violence will be prohibited from engaging in pedagogical activities for a period of one year.
This restriction applies to employment in kindergartens, schools, vocational education institutions, and organizations providing supplementary education for children.
The legislative amendments aim to protect children from all forms of violence within educational institutions.
