Teacher shot in schoolyard in Turkey — suspect is his nephew

Mehmet Bilgili, a literature teacher, was shot and killed in the courtyard of Farabi Anatolian High School in the city of Osmaniye, Turkey. On September 28, an individual identified as A.B. arrived at the school to see his uncle, Mehmet Bilgili; there was reportedly a pre-existing feud between them. Following an argument in the school courtyard, A.B. fired an unlicensed pistol at his uncle. The critically wounded teacher was taken to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.
After the incident, A.B. was apprehended and arrested while in possession of the weapon suspected to have been used in the crime. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
