Teacher in Andijan Sentenced to 19 Years for Killing His Wife

In Asaka district of Andijan region, a male teacher was sentenced to 19 years in prison for stabbing his wife to death inside a school building. On January 27, a family dispute broke out between O.U. and his wife O.M., who also worked at the school. During the quarrel, the man attacked her with a household knife, inflicting multiple wounds. She died at the scene. After the incident, he attempted suicide but was saved by relatives. Court documents revealed that the couple had long‑standing family conflicts. The wife had repeatedly left with their children to live with her parents, while the husband even registered their house in her name in an effort to preserve the marriage. Nevertheless, disputes continued and ultimately ended in tragedy.
