Tax revenues in Azerbaijan increased by 52%

In January-April this year, through the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, the amount of tax revenues to the state budget increased by 52.4% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 7 billion 672.2 million manats.

Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov wrote about this on Twitter, Report informs.

According to him, 4 billion 3.4 million manats in the structure of tax revenues in the specified period were formed at the expense of the non-oil and gas sector. This is 16.7% more than a year ago.

"A significant role in the growth of tax revenues is played by the reduction in the scale of the "shadow economy", steps taken towards the legalization of business and income," the minister wrote.
