According to the law, which will come into force on July 19, liability measures for hiding, understating or not paying taxes have been strengthened.
❗️Fines for hiding or understating taxes or income have been increased:
🔹 For citizens: approximately 6 million - 10 million soums
🔹 For officials: approximately 10 million - 20 million soums
🔹 In case of concealment of a large amount, the fines will be even higher (from 41 million soums to 247 million soums).
❗️In cases of intentional non-payment or concealment of taxes:
🔹 fine
🔹 correctional labor
🔹 restriction of liberty (up to 1–5 years)
🔹 deprivation of liberty (1–7 years)
❗️In the most serious case (very large amounts):
🔹 Imprisonment for up to 5–7 years may be imposed.
However, in some cases, a person may be exempted from criminal liability if they fully cover the taxes and damages.
