TALCO intends to sharply increase aluminum production

TALCO's management plans to increase production to 300 thousand tons over the next few years.

The Tajik Aluminum Company continues to increase the output of primary aluminum.

This is stated in the report for the first half of 2023, which is at the disposal of Sputnik Tajikistan.

Thus, for 6 months of the current year the company produced 31.5 thousand tons of aluminum. This figure is only slightly higher than the same period in 2022. However, by the end of the year, the company intends to increase production capacity by 10%.

Meanwhile, within 3 years, TALCO plans to increase the production of aluminum by 5 times and bring the volume up to 300 thousand tons.

Since the beginning of 2023, TALCO specialists have launched 28 electrolyzers (a device used in the manufacturing sector to produce aluminum).

By the end of the year, it is planned to repair and put into operation more than 90 units.

The foreign trade turnover of the company for 6 months of 2023 was at the level of more than 113.2 million dollars. At the same time, imports amounted to 48.9 million, and exports - 64.3 million.

There are no untouchables: TALCO will pay more for electricity

The Tajik aluminum plant is one of the most powerful industrial enterprises in the country. Its main product is primary aluminium.

Every year about 98% of products are exported. The plant is the main export manufacturer in Tajikistan.
