Tajikistan will restore areas affected by uranium production

At the 67th session of the IAEA General Conference, meetings of representatives of Tajikistan with delegations of foreign countries were also held

It is important to rehabilitate areas affected by uranium production in the countries of Central Asia.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Aziz Nazar.

It is noted that the delegation of the republic took part in the 67th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Thus, at the event there were also meetings between representatives of Tajikistan and delegations of foreign countries.

The press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies draws attention to the fact that areas of cooperation and implementation of the IAEA Strategic Master Plan for the rehabilitation of radioactive waste sites in the countries of Central Asia were discussed.
