Tajikistan will establish the export of agricultural products to Germany

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received Executive Director of the Eastern Economic Committee of Germany Michael Harms.

The meeting was held at the Palace of the Nation, the press service of the head of state reports.

Rahmon recalled the principles of trust on which interaction with the German side is based.

Thus, the parties came to the conclusion that cooperation in such sectors as hydropower, industry, agriculture, transport and tourism benefits both countries.

The light and textile industries, the food industry, mining and processing of minerals were noted as promising areas.

Tajik business will receive investments

It is also planned to expand cooperation in mechanical engineering, the chemical industry, and pharmaceuticals.

The parties welcomed the establishment of joint production enterprises.

Rahmon and Kharms agreed to work on attracting investments from Germany, as well as new technologies for priority sectors of Tajikistan, and to establish the export of environmentally friendly agricultural products.
