Weather conditions are expected to worsen in Tajikistan in the coming days.

This was reported by the press service of the Committee for Emergency Situations of the country with reference to weather forecasters.

So, the danger will remain in the period from 19 to 21 August.

Rescuers warned about the likelihood of mudflows in a number of mountainous regions of Sogd, RRS and in the west of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

The Committee emphasized the need for precautionary measures. One of the key points is the timely cleaning of drainage channels and river beds from debris in order to ensure the free flow of water and reduce the risk of mudflows.

The population is advised to be more vigilant and careful in their actions. In particular, it is worth temporarily refraining from activities such as collecting firewood, fishing, grazing and hunting, especially in dangerous areas.

Particular attention is paid to traffic safety in mountainous areas. Drivers, climbers, mountain bikers and car enthusiasts must strictly follow the safety rules and adhere to the established intervals of movement.
