Tajikistan trades with 102 countries

In the first half of this year, Tajikistan conducted foreign trade with 102 countries, but of many of them it only imported goods

The volume of exports of goods in Tajikistan is almost 4 times lower than imports.

Such figures were formed in the first half of 2023, the Export Agency of Tajikistan said at a press conference.

At the same time, the total volume of the country's foreign trade for this period amounted to $3.4 billion.

Meanwhile, exports are estimated at $679 million.

According to the agency, $655 million of the total volume of goods sold is industrial products and electricity.

Export of agricultural goods amounted to 103 thousand tons worth more than $24 million.

It is noted that minerals and agricultural products are among the main exports of Tajikistan.

In general, the country conducted foreign trade with 102 countries in the first 6 months of the current year, but from many of them it only imported goods.

How many products did Tajikistan produce in the first half of the year?

Tajik products were exported only to 47 countries of the world, the Agency noted.

The trade balance remains negative and exports are well below imports.
