The Minister of Culture of the Republic spoke at the international conference “Towards the renewal of cultural practice in the Islamic world”, organized by ISESCO

The 12th international conference organized by the Islamic Science, Education and Culture Organization (ISESCO) was held in Qatar.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan.

The forum was called "Towards the renewal of cultural practices in the Islamic world."

It is noted that the Minister of Culture of the Republic Zulfiya Davlatzoda took part in the event.

During her speech, she noted that Dushanbe was declared the ISESCO Capital of Culture in 2010.

At the same time, the Minister of Culture emphasized that the people of Tajikistan are well aware that Islam condemns terrorism and embodies the ideas of unity and humanity.

The leadership of the republic has repeatedly stated from the high stands of international organizations that Islam is a peaceful, tolerant and unifying religion.

Continuing her speech, Zulfiya Davlatzoda said that on the direct initiative of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Koran was translated into the Tajik language and made available to all citizens.

The press service noted that the event discussed priority issues of cultural policy, the development of the “Cultural Capital of the Islamic World” program, further joint activities, the fight against the illegal transfer of relics, etc.

At the same time, as part of the conference, the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan held a bilateral meeting with her colleague from Qatar.
