Central Asian countries need to identify new points of joint growth and use their full potential to achieve a strategic breakthrough

In order to obtain the maximum effect from the development of international cargo transportation, Tajikistan advocates a proposal to develop a concept for the integration of logistics sectors in Central Asia.

This was stated by the President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon during a meeting of the heads of state of the region.

“Solving this problem will greatly contribute to the signing today, following a consultative meeting, of a five-party agreement on the interconnectedness of land transport in Central Asia,” the Tajik leader said.

Tajikistan is making every effort to develop this transport sector in order to turn the republic into a transit zone, Rahmon noted.

According to the president, Central Asian countries need to strive for a unified transport infrastructure.

Rakhmon also added that the heads of state of the Central Asian region need to identify new points of joint growth and use the full potential to ensure a strategic breakthrough in the economic direction.

Let us remind you that the economic forum is timed to coincide with the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Leaders of Central Asian Countries. Meetings of ministers and presidents will be held on September 14-15.
