A grant from the Asian Development Bank was allocated as part of additional funding for the Integrated Maternal and Child Health program

To prepare a follow-up investment project, a grant for health promotion was approved for Tajikistan.

This was reported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

It is noted that the amount of the subsidy is 500 thousand dollars.

Thus, the grant will prepare additional financing, expanding the volume of existing payments in the amount of $32 million for the Integrated Maternal and Child Health project.

In addition, this will expand the coverage of quality health services in 3 more districts of the republic: Darvaza, Dangara and Aini.

Tajikistan joined the Asian Development Bank in 1998. The ADB-Tajikistan Partnership Strategy for 2021-2025 has 3 strategic priorities:

structural reforms to improve resource allocation and mobilization,

increasing labor productivity through the development of human capital,

promoting higher standards of living through investments in the land economy.

The bank was established in 1966, it includes 68 countries, of which 49 countries are located in the Asia-Pacific region.
