Tajikistan plans to organize joint industrial zones with Russia following the example of similar projects that have already been implemented with the Russian Federation in the states of Central Asia. The Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Sherali Kabir told reporters about this, TASS reports.
According to the head of the ministry, during a visit to Russia this year, he discussed this idea with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade.
“Respected Minister Denis Valentinovich Manturov and I had a great conversation and came to the conclusion that, for example, to create technological parks that Russia has built in other countries today, with our neighbors, we will also use this experience,” said Kabir answering a question from TASS.
He also added that the ideas of creating a chemical technopark and a machine-building cluster are being discussed. “We do not have a large machine-building plant in Tajikistan. And in Russia there is such experience,” he said.
In July, Sherali Kabir visited Yekaterinburg and took part in the Innoprom-2023 exhibition. Then the Ministry of Industry of Tajikistan reported that during a meeting with Manturov, Kabir offered to take part in the implementation of priority projects in Tajikistan in the mining, textile and food industries, as well as the creation of joint industrial zones.
