The second round of the campaign to immunize children against infectious diseases - measles and rubella is currently underway in Tajikistan

Tajikistan is vaccinating against measles and rubella.

This was reported to Sputnik Tajikistan by the head of the department of epidemiological safety, emergency situations and ambulance of the Ministry of Health of the country Navruz Jafarov.

He explained that the second stage of the introduction of vaccinations against these dangerous diseases is currently underway.

Recall that the first round took place from 21 to 31 August. At that time, children aged 6 months to 6 years were immunized.

As part of the next stage, children and adolescents from 7 to 15 years old will be vaccinated.

In total, the vaccination campaign is designed for 3.5 million people.

According to Jafarov, preliminary information on immunization was provided by the Ministry of Health. He recalled that the vaccine is harmless to children. Medical procedures are free of charge.
