It is important to integrate Russian business into the leather and footwear industry in Tajikistan.
This was stated by the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic Evgeny Korenkov.
It is noted that the statement was made within the framework of the forum of the leather and footwear industry of the CIS and SCO countries in Moscow.
First, the specialist spoke about the potential of the country.
"Tajikistan has significant reserves of raw materials - skins: about 8 million heads of cattle and small cattle," he said.
After that, Korenkov provided up-to-date statistical data on the state of this sector in Tajikistan.
"Only 9 enterprises specializing in the processing of raw materials operate in the country," the trade representative of Russia in the republic stated.
In conclusion, he pointed out that "the Russian investor still manages to occupy this niche."

The four-day International B2B exhibition of shoes, bags, accessories, leather and accessories MosShoes has started at the World Trade Center of Moscow.
