Tajikistan has once again entered the list of countries most visited by Russian tourists along with Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, RBC reports citing the results of a survey by Renaissance Insurance Group and Ozon Travel.
Russians consider the United States (53%), France (49%), Mexico (48%), India (47%) and Tunisia (47%) the most dangerous countries for tourism, while the Maldives (71%), Seychelles (68%) are the safest. %), the UAE (68%), Cyprus (66%) and China (65%), follows from the results of a survey by Renaissance Insurance Group and Ozon Travel (RBC has it).
45% of the respondents also ranked Turkey among the dangerous countries for travelling.
The survey involved 1,579 respondents aged 18 and over living in Russian cities with a population of over one million. The study was conducted by online questionnaire in July 2023.
In addition, 28% of Russians admitted that they are afraid of the emergence of a new virus, every fifth (21%) is afraid of the difficulty of returning home, moreover, Muscovites are most often worried about this (33%). Another 11% are worried about the negative attitude of local residents.
One in four, or 25% of those surveyed, get vaccinated to protect themselves. 15% make copies of documents, the same number of respondents study the cultural customs of the country in advance.
This year, most Russians prefer to travel within their own country: summer domestic tourism accounted for eight out of ten bookings on Ozon Travel.
At the same time, the top 5 most popular destinations included Moscow, Sochi, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Mineralnye Vody.
