Tajikistan declares the need to create a defense industry

Tajikistan needs to have its own defense industry.

Such a proposal was made by the head of industry and new technologies of the country, Sherali Kabir, within the framework of the reporting press conference.

Thus, according to the minister, the armored vehicles created in the republic are not inferior to similar vehicles assembled at the enterprises of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

It is worth noting that in May 2023, the Sipar Guruh enterprise was launched in the country. There is established production for the assembly and installation of special military equipment.

Speaking about the advantages of local production, Sherali Kabir emphasized that a different metal is used in the republic for the manufacture of wheels for armored vehicles.

Recall that earlier the head of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, launched the Sipar Group enterprise in Tursunzade, which is focused on the assembly of special military and civilian equipment.

The presidential press service reported that a total of 17 types of special equipment have been installed and this figure will increase in the future.
