Tajikistan continues to help the affected population after the emergency

The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of the Republic reported on the assistance provided to residents of the regions affected by the natural disaster

After the August natural disaster, the needy population was provided with everything they needed.

This was reported by the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan.

The republican authorities continue to help the affected areas and cities as a result of mudflows at the end of August.

Thus, on September 7, the CoES, with the support of international partners, provided assistance to 68 households in the Ismoil Somoni district and 27 in the Sino district.

People were provided with food, basic necessities, mattresses, pillows, blankets and hygiene kits.

All this was delivered to populated areas using special committee equipment.

Let us remind you that in Tajikistan, heavy rains on the evening of August 27 claimed the lives of more than a dozen people, the victims were mainly residents of the city of Vakhdat and the Rudaki region.

According to the latest data, 21 people died as a result of the emergency in cities and regions of Tajikistan.

The Committee for Emergency Situations of Tajikistan clarified that 17 people died in Vahdat, 2 people in Rudaki and 2 in the Varzob region.
